This Week's News

Louie, peeking out at me through the palms in his vivarium, my very cute and very picky gecko stinker!

So this week is going to be a bit crazy, not as crazy like the last couple of weeks, but pretty busy/crazy.  I have LOTS of appointments and such.  I also have a little custom order to finish up as well as my newest set of pendants.  I think I'm going to spend Saturday this week just sitting in the big chair watching re-runs of old paranormal shows and such to celebrate.  The busy-ness has been good, a craft show, lots of work, a couple of super fun birthday parties for the kids to attend, many exciting adventures but now it's time to take a little break and sit for a itty-bitty while.  Then I'll get myself together and move on to more making of leather/metal things.

Ciaran The Artist

He found the markers and now he wants to draw every morning. Yesterday it was a blue and red marker and two full pages of drawings in my sketchbook. He also drew a lovely drawing on his foot in blue and my shin in bright red. Today it was black and yellow. Another whole page and then the cover of the sketchbook, all the while exclaiming "nice!" every five minutes.

I remember making his Father's Day painting and how much he hated having his little hand painted. Now he wants to paint everything in sight, including me, the cats, the couch, and daddy's big chair. Now he is sleeping off that hard work with marker stains all over his legs, hands, and nose.

I'm Finished!

I finished my custom order for my first ever computer bag! I had a great time working on it. So last night I celebrated by cutting out many little snappy wallets and billfolds. I am trying to get as many done as I can in the next few days for my trunk show on Friday.

I am having a hard time deciding what colors to use for the wallets. I tend to want to cut out the more sell-able colors but with the trend in my Etsy shop it seems like anything goes these days. I guess I will just go with the flow and enjoy the process. I can't see working any other way.

I just put a bid in on another green suede jacket and a pair of bright orange pants for my newest collection of wallets. The people at the auction site must think I have some sort of screwed up fashion sense. Although they both would make a lovely and warm fall outfit. I am still trying to find that perfect bright pink leather something or other to turn into something fantabulous. The last ensemble I found was a three piece stripper-ly looking thing that ended up selling for over a hundred dollars. The perfect bright pink leather, but a little out of my price range. I will just keep searching and hope to happen upon some pink leather for a more reasonable price.

Yesterday, Mark, Ciaran, and I went out for ice cream. It was so much fun. I love watching Mark and Ciaran together. They make such a cute couple! They are so alike in every way it's hilarious and scary at the same time. Ciaran lucked out in the daddy department and I think Mark lucked out in the baby department. They make it very easy to love them both.

Stinker is 18 months Today!

I can't believe this little guy is already 18 months old. It goes by so darn fast! From wiggling, squirming, eating, pooping, and crying, to all those plus walking......I mean running, and talking. It has been the best adventure in my life so far. My little barnacle. I love him.

So today in honor of his 18 month birthday, Ciaran and I are going to visit Grammy and Grampy and go to the local woodfair. I don't know if this was exactly what Ciaran had in mind for his special day but he seems to love just to get out to flirt with anyone who will make eye contact with him. Then we head downtown for a donut, coffee, and one purple zipper, then to the park. Somewhere in there today I need to fit in some wallet sewing and ring making. Should be an adventure. I wish you all the best of weekends. Have fun!:)
