Grey, Green, Purple, Blue, Lavender, Brown, and more GREY!
I am working on a new wallet pouch thingy and I came up with some combinations of colors that I really like. They are weird, but I like them. I've got some pale green, grey, purple, and bright blue, I think I may have puked with this one a couple of years ago, and the picture doesn't make it look very interesting, but it really is! (To me anyways) The second is a sort of dusty teal with more grey, lavender, and dark brown, and I love it! I made a custom wallet in the same colors for someone just few weeks ago and was not completely sure if the colors would work, but they did and I really like it now. So much that I am making a few things for my shop with this same color scheme. It's fun to play! I am still loving red, grey and black, and grey, violet, and black too! So you will probably see a few more of those combos coming up shortly. I never thought I would like grey suede so much!

I Won, I Won, I Won!
Thanks to Treasures By Tina, I won some lovely note cards from her shop on Friday! I was so excited , I never win anything, so this was a real treat. I picked a set of note cards with dandelions on them. I love them! Thanks Tina! You made my day:) Check out TreasuresbyTina when you get a chance, another wonderful Etsy shop:)
The weekend brought on a new interest in polka dots and more interesting color combinations. I finished this little guy up this weekend and decided against a snap, the button closure was more fitting for this one. I spent the rest of my time planning out a couple new color combinations, the first is a grey-ish blue and deep plum, the second is chocolate brown, iridescent lilac, and lime green. So far so good. The distraction from sick kitty care was good and I feel like I got a lot done. I wish I could post my color combinations to get an opinion but unfortunately the pictures I took did not turn out very well so I will just go with what I have and show off some pictures when the pieces are complete. Hopefully they won't suck.
Humbug is hanging in there! She has regained her appetite and seems to have a little more energy these days. She is beginning to demand lap time again and begs for food constantly, so a sure sign she is feeling better. So we just wait and watch and love her all up, we want her to enjoy her time here.

Sometimes Colors are just too Yummy!
I just finished this little wallet. I decided to put an iridescent red sheen over the caramel colored leather for the base and wow! did it turn out cool. It only slightly tinted the caramel color adding a distressed quality to it. In the light it glows this wonderful warm pink. I decided that the metallic olive green and brown suede would look awesome together and they do! The olive green has a little iridescence to it to so it just adds a little more pizazz to it. I love little successes! It makes all the problem solving and puzzling worth it.
Today is one of those super foggy days and I am hanging out inside drinking way too much coffee and working on my latest custom order. My first computer sleeve/case thingy. It will be a really cool project. Lots of colorful applique work. It is just getting the motivation to jump in and just do it. Ciaran helped me pick out some bright orange cotton to line the case with. For 18 months old, that little boy sure has an eye for color. So now I have to figure out exactly how the whole thing will work together and then get to business with the applique design. It should be a fun project for such a blah day.
Later we eat burgers, fries, and Mark is going to make us a lemon meringue pie. I can't wait! Hopefully it will all agree with all the coffee I've been drinking.
