Sick Days

I have one small child with a belly ache, so I am taking the opportunity to clean, and get some stuff made!  So far, I have these two beauties all set and ready to find their new homes, hopefully soon:), I have dyed one HUGE pale green handbag a darker shade of emerald green, and I am slowly doing my spring cleaning now, it feels good to be a little more organized and less chaotic right now.  My very distractable mind is having a really hard time with the free time that we have now.  So, cross your fingers for me that I can keep moving at this pace:)

Cleaning up The House

I am back to going through my stuff. I managed to get rid of a huge pile of clothes, a huge pile of make-up, and even a huge pile of weeds! I am trying desperately to get rid of all the extra stuff we have lying around here that we never use. It felt good to get rid of clutter. I have been doing a little bit here and there but the last couple of days I just jumped into it. It's nice to have counter space, drawer space, and closet space. It's also nice to step outside and not feel like the weeds are going to attack at any second. My plan is to do a little bit each day until we get rid of all the unnecessary stuff we have accumulated over the last few years. We'll see how it goes:)

Spring Cleaning

I decided to get a little bit of cleaning and organizing done. I am making myself three tasks a day each week to do to get our little place organized. So far I have two gross tasks and one o.k. one for today. I get to clean out the fridge, which smells like the most horrible halitosis ever, thanks to the two week old chicken mushroom surprise quietly melting into the top shelf, and many other lost and forgotten food items that get pushed to the very back and ignored. Then I get to clean the mushrooms and hair clumps out of the faucet in the tub, this strangely fascinates me, the fungus that grows is absolutely gorgeous but I just hate having to pry it out with a screwdriver, and the hair clumps are disgusting, but I feel so accomplished when they are removed. Finally, I get to sort Ciaran's old baby clothes into little piles: one for dumping(cause they are just too stained or damaged for use), the other for storage. How exciting! Then I can finally work on my leatha!

Craft Show Hangover

I have a craft show hangover. Not really from the show so much as the clean-up afterwards. My house is a mess(it always is though), my work tables need organizing, I need to retake pictures of some of my items that didn't sell, I need to do laundry, I need to sit down and redesign one of my wallets, I need to finish decorating for Christmas, I need to do lots of stuff!

I am taking today off just to reconnect with my everyday life. I am going for a nice long walk with the kiddo and then I am going to find myself a dazzling outfit(and hopefully some things I can use in my wallets) at our local thrift store, then this evening, I am going to make burritos. All will be well! Then tomorrow I get to do the cleaning, decorating, organizing, and redesigning. I am actually looking forward to it, should be fun!
